Important Update for Campers
BBQ & Firepit Update
Firepits & BBQs are banned
Due to continued hot weather, and working closely with Dorset Fire & Rescue Service, we have banned the use of firepits and BBQs anywhere on the campsite until further notice. This applies to all pitches — open fires, charcoal BBQs and wood-burning firepits are not permitted.
Gas cooking equipment must be raised
Gas cooking equipment (such as camping stoves and gas BBQs) should not be used directly on the ground. Please raise your equipment up on a stable surface — a purpose-built stand, table or heatproof board — well away from dry grass, tents and awnings.
Please use ashtrays
As a reminder, please use the ashtrays provided and never drop a cigarette butt on the floor. Even a small ember can ignite dry ground very quickly in these conditions. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
